Hepatitis

Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver, commonly caused by viral infections, including Hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E. Symptoms may include fatigue, jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes), abdominal pain, nausea, and dark urine. Chronic hepatitis, especially types B and C, can lead to liver damage, cirrhosis, or liver cancer. Diagnosis is typically done through blood tests, and treatment varies depending on the type of hepatitis. Vaccines are available for Hepatitis A and B, while antiviral medications are used to manage chronic Hepatitis B and C. Early detection and treatment are key to preventing serious liver damage.
